Before Disassembly

I could say I started this whole process by taking a handful of pictures before anything was removed from the bike, but that would be a lie, I wanted to see if I could get her to run for a few seconds.

For anyone who has worked on engines before knows, it takes compression, fuel and spark to make an engine run. I could tell from the kick start that she had decent compression, and I could bypass any carb/fuel tank issues by dribbling some fuel mix directly into the head (via the spark plug hole). Grounding the plug on the engine quickly revealed there was no spark. I pulled the points inspection plug on the flywheel and discovered the points were loose. A quick turn of a screwdriver and a dribble of fuel and she ran!

Before I show you steps of the disassembly process, here are a few “before” pictures.
