Background
A work colleague named Ryan and I were catching up on a Monday about what we did over the weekend. I mentioned I had been wrenching on a 1982 Honda CT110 Trail bike that I purchased off Facebook Marketplace from a guy in Albuquerque. Ryan had been working on a BMW Z3, but mentioned that he had an old Vespa that might be for sale soon. Ryan purchased the scooter from a friend who worked at the US Embassy in Pakistan. She purchased it in 2016 from a vintage scooter shop in Islamabad and had it imported to the states a few years later. Long story short, we agreed on a price and she now sits in my workshop, awaiting a complete makeover. Meet Christy.
I am going to attempt to document the progress, in photos and in words. Hopefully it all makes sense and isn’t too boring. Thanks for coming along with me.
